BCA UMKM Fest is BCA’s annual event designed to support the growth of local businesses while strengthening BCA’s position as the leading partner for MSMEs. The event is held in a hybrid format: offline through bazaars at locations such as Gandaria City, and online through shopping promotions with partners like Grab and Blibli. The website/microsite serves as a hub for digital activities, an information center during the offline period, and an educational resource on BCA’s business and financing solutions.

Challange

The main challenge was to design a microsite capable of addressing two audience needs simultaneously: consumers looking for promotions and SME owners seeking to leverage BCA’s business solutions (financing, transactions, operations). These two needs have different objectives and information flows, so there was a risk that the microsite would feel too cluttered or confusing if not clearly structured. Additionally, since the event is hybrid, the microsite must also convey information about both the offline period (schedule, location) and the online period (shopping promotions) simultaneously without causing visitors to lose context. Another challenge is keeping the microsite integrated and consistent with the main bca.co.id website, while maintaining the event’s playful and festive visual energy to ensure it remains relevant to the SME theme and the local market.

Solution

The solution is to divide the microsite’s structure into several sections with clear objectives: a hero section for event information and dates, a promotions section for consumers (credit cards, dining, daily necessities), and a business solutions section for SME owners (financing, payment transactions, operational transactions), so that two distinct audiences are served without overlapping. The visual language is playful and energetic, using colorful geometric graphic patterns (squares, circles, shopping icons) that represent the diversity of SMEs and the atmosphere of a market or bazaar, while still framed within BCA’s brand colors (blue and red) to maintain corporate identity.

Interactive features such as “Play the Game” and “Grab a Gift” were added as engagement mechanisms to increase traffic and drive shopping conversions during the event period. The FAQ and partner/brand logo sections (Grab, Blibli, Gandaria City) were placed toward the end of the page to build trust and clarify the event’s credibility as an official BCA initiative.
